Terms of use

Terms for using gTimer and gTimer Pro.

Effective: 16 October 2026

Important: gTimer is not medical advice and does not state that taking or re-taking a substance is safe. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using gTimer, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, account credentials and privacy PIN, and for activity performed through your account.

3. What gTimer provides

gTimer helps users privately record timing and related information. Results depend on what you enter, device availability, permissions and third-party platform services. You remain responsible for checking records and making your own decisions.

4. No medical advice or safety assurance

Timers, intervals, notifications, health information and wording such as “minimum time passed” are reminders only. They are not personalised medical advice, dosage advice, a recommendation to take a substance, or confirmation that doing so is safe. Substance effects and risks vary. Seek advice from an appropriately qualified health professional.

5. gTimer Pro, trials and purchases

Some features require gTimer Pro. Available products, prices, trial eligibility and billing periods are shown in the app before purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless cancelled through your Apple Account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple processes billing, cancellations and refunds under its rules.

A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple. A lifetime purchase provides access to the corresponding gTimer Pro product for as long as that product and the app remain available and supported; it is not a promise that any service will operate indefinitely.

Founding Tester access is a discretionary, non-transferable entitlement for approved early testers. It may not be sold or shared and can be revoked for abuse, fraud or material breach of these terms.

6. Synchronisation and backups

Sync and backup are convenience features, not guaranteed archival services. Network failure, account configuration, operating-system changes or service outages can delay or prevent transfer. Keep an independent backup before uninstalling, replacing a device or making significant changes.

7. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, probe other accounts, introduce malicious code, automate abusive traffic, resell access, or use gTimer in violation of applicable law or another person's rights.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of information you enter. You give us the limited permission needed to process, transmit and store that information solely to provide the features you enable.

9. Availability and changes

We may improve, replace, suspend or discontinue features, including integrations supplied by third parties. We will take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary disruption, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. To the extent permitted by law, gTimer is provided without additional warranties and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on a timer, notification, location result, synced copy or user-entered record.

11. Termination

You may stop using gTimer at any time. We may restrict an account where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risk or a serious breach. Ending an account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be managed through Apple.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, subject to any mandatory law that applies to you. For questions, contact support@gtimer.app.
